2017-03-20btfm: Close 3990 FM tx ports first and keep overflow bit always setRupesh Tatiya
Close data source ports i.e. wcn3990 tx ports before data sink ports i.e. AFE for FM tx case. Also, do not set wcn3990 overflow/underflow registers to 0 during channel disable path. This causes audio loss if audio focus is lost during FM playback. Change-Id: Id6c8ee145bf7feb8681851499ba36b708667b4ef Signed-off-by: Rupesh Tatiya <rtatiya@codeaurora.org>

2017-02-24bluetooth: Fix slimbus shutdown sequenceSungjun Park
During slimbus shutdown process, registered codec driver callback has been implemented in wrong seqeunce. So, it causes audio data overflow and impact on next audio streaming. To correct the sequence, slimbus port disable routine should be performed when WCN codec shutdown callback is called. 2016-08-20Bluetooth: hci_intel: Fix null gpio desc pointer dereferenceLoic Poulain
commit 32b9ccbc3522811c0e483637b85ae25f5491296f upstream. gpiod_get_optional can return either ERR_PTR or NULL pointer. NULL case is not tested and then dereferenced later in desc_to_gpio. Fix this by using non optional version which returns ERR_PTR in any error case (this is not an optional gpio). Use the same non optional version for the host-wake gpio. On some platforms, clock needs to be controlled by Bluetooth driver. Add support for that by obtaining it through a device tree property and use it for voting when required. Change-Id: I42a16f6dc8d5c11963713ae489ca6d8c9bf927e5 Signed-off-by: Sungjun Park <sjpark@codeaurora.org>
2016-06-28Bluetooth: Replace %p with %pKDibyendu Roy
The %pK restrictions are used to eliminate exposing kernel addresses. When kptr_restrict is set to "0" there are no restrictions. When kptr_restrict is set to "1", kernel pointers printed using the %pK format specifier will be replaced with 0's unless the user has CAP_SYSLOG. When kptr_restrict is set to "2", kernel pointers printed using %pK will be replaced with 0's regardless of privileges. 2016-06-01Bluetooth: vhci: Fix race at creating hci deviceTakashi Iwai
commit c7c999cb18da88a881e10e07f0724ad0bfaff770 upstream. hci_vhci driver creates a hci device object dynamically upon each HCI_VENDOR_PKT write. Although it checks the already created object and returns an error, it's still racy and may build multiple hci_dev objects concurrently when parallel writes are performed, as the device tracks only a single hci_dev object. This patch introduces a mutex to protect against the concurrent device creations. 2016-06-01Bluetooth: vhci: purge unhandled skbsJiri Slaby
commit 13407376b255325fa817798800117a839f3aa055 upstream. The write handler allocates skbs and queues them into data->readq. Read side should read them, if there is any. If there is none, skbs should be dropped by hdev->flush. But this happens only if the device is HCI_UP, i.e. hdev->power_on work was triggered already. When it was not, skbs stay allocated in the queue when /dev/vhci is closed. So purge the queue in ->release. Program to reproduce: #include <err.h> #include <fcntl.h> #include <stdio.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <sys/stat.h> #include <sys/types.h> #include <sys/uio.h> int main() { char buf[] = { 0xff, 0 }; struct iovec iov = { .iov_base = buf, .iov_len = sizeof(buf), }; int fd; while (1) { fd = open("/dev/vhci", O_RDWR); if (fd < 0) err(1, "open"); usleep(50); if (writev(fd, &iov, 1) < 0) err(1, "writev"); usleep(50); close(fd); } return 0; } Result: kmemleak: 4609 new suspected memory leaks unreferenced object 0xffff88059f4d5440 (size 232): comm "vhci", pid 1084, jiffies 4294912542 (age 37569.296s) hex dump (first 32 bytes): 20 f0 23 87 05 88 ff ff 20 f0 23 87 05 88 ff ff .#..... .#..... 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ backtrace: ... 2016-06-01Bluetooth: vhci: fix open_timeout vs. hdev raceJiri Slaby
commit 373a32c848ae3a1c03618517cce85f9211a6facf upstream. Both vhci_get_user and vhci_release race with open_timeout work. They both contain cancel_delayed_work_sync, but do not test whether the work actually created hdev or not. Since the work can be in progress and _sync will wait for finishing it, we can have data->hdev allocated when cancel_delayed_work_sync returns. But the call sites do 'if (data->hdev)' *before* cancel_delayed_work_sync. As a result: * vhci_get_user allocates a second hdev and puts it into data->hdev. The former is leaked. * vhci_release does not release data->hdev properly as it thinks there is none. Fix both cases by moving the actual test *after* the call to cancel_delayed_work_sync. This can be hit by this program: #include <err.h> #include <fcntl.h> #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <time.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <sys/stat.h> #include <sys/types.h> int main(int argc, char **argv) { int fd; srand(time(NULL)); while (1) { const int delta = (rand() % 200 - 100) * 100; fd = open("/dev/vhci", O_RDWR); if (fd < 0) err(1, "open"); usleep(1000000 + delta); close(fd); } return 0; } And the result is: BUG: KASAN: use-after-free in skb_queue_tail+0x13e/0x150 at addr ffff88006b0c1228 Read of size 8 by task kworker/u13:1/32068 ============================================================================= BUG kmalloc-192 (Tainted: G E ): kasan: bad access detected ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disabling lock debugging due to kernel taint INFO: Allocated in vhci_open+0x50/0x330 [hci_vhci] age=260 cpu=3 pid=32040 ... kmem_cache_alloc_trace+0x150/0x190 vhci_open+0x50/0x330 [hci_vhci] misc_open+0x35b/0x4e0 chrdev_open+0x23b/0x510 ... 2016-05-31net: cnss: add dual cnss platform driver support for dual WiFiSarada Prasanna Garnayak
For dual WiFi both cnss sdio and pcie platform needs to be enabled. Added changes below to support dual platform driver for dual WiFi. Refactor the common api and data structure to avoid namespace collision compilation error. Refactor sdio and pcie bus specific kernel api and removed conditional compilation config flag. The platform driver at run time identifies the wlan bus type from the PHY device pointer passed by the wlan driver through vos api and cnss platform driver redirects the cnss api according the bus type. Remove conditional compilation flag from cnss common api and update cnss makefile for dual platform driver compilation with single config flag. 2016-03-23bluetooth: wait for write_work from protocol layer to finishRupesh Tatiya
Simplify the line discipline close function. The write work in line discipline might be called from three places - namely tty driver, hci device and protocol. During line discipline close, stop hci device and protocol layer from submitting new work. Then perform cancel_work_sync. Further, protocol close will free protocol device but it can referenced in work handler. Use a lock at line discipline (parent of protocol) to prevent NULL pointer dereference.
