2013-10-11Bluetooth: Add hdev parameter to hdev->send driver callbackMarcel Holtmann
Instead of masking hdev inside the skb->dev parameter, hand it directly to the driver as a parameter to hdev->send. This makes the driver interface more clear and simpler. This patch fixes all drivers to accept and handle the new parameter of hdev->send callback. Special care has been taken for bpa10x and btusb drivers that require having skb->dev set to hdev for the URB transmit complete handlers. 2013-10-10Bluetooth: Use hci_conn_num() instead of direct connection hash accessMarcel Holtmann
When changing the alternate setting for the ISOC endpoints, use the hci_conn_num() helper function to count currently established SCO and eSCO connections and store the the value. This avoids direct access to the connection hash. In addition use the stored value instead accessing the connection hash over and over again. 2013-09-16Bluetooth: Add support creating virtual AMP controllersMarcel Holtmann
So far the only option to create a virtual AMP controller was by setting a module parameter for the hci_vhci driver. This patch adds the functionality to define inline to create either a BR/EDR or an AMP controller. In addition the client will be informed which HCI controller index it got assigned. That is especially useful for automated end-to-end testing. To keep backwards compatibility with existing userspace, the command for creating a controller type needs to be send right after opening the device node. If the command is not send, it defaults back to automatically creating a BR/EDR controller. 2013-09-09rtl8187: fix use after free on failure path in rtl8187_init_urbs()Alexey Khoroshilov
In case of __dev_alloc_skb() failure rtl8187_init_urbs() calls usb_free_urb(entry) where 'entry' can points to urb allocated at the previous iteration. That means refcnt will be decremented incorrectly and the urb can be used after memory deallocation. The patch fixes the issue and implements error handling of init_urbs in rtl8187_start(). 2013-09-09cw1200: Prevent a lock-related hang in the cw1200_spi driverSolomon Peachy
The cw1200_spi driver tries to mirror the cw1200_sdio driver's lock API, which relies on sdio_claim_host/sdio_release_host to serialize hardware operations across multiple threads. Unfortunately the implementation was flawed, as it lacked a way to wake up the lock requestor when there was contention, often resulting in a hang. This problem was uncovered while trying to fix the spi-transfers-in-interrupt-context BUG() corrected in the previous patch. Many thanks to Dave Sizeburns for his assistance in fixing this. 2013-09-09cw1200: Don't perform SPI transfers in interrupt contextSolomon Peachy
When we get an interrupt from the hardware, the first thing the driver does is tell the device to mask off the interrupt line. Unfortunately this involves a SPI transaction in interrupt context. Some (most?) SPI controllers perform the transfer asynchronously and try to sleep. This is bad, and triggers a BUG(). So, work around this by using adding a hwbus hook for the cw1200 driver core to call. The cw1200_spi driver translates this into irq_disable()/irq_enable() calls instead, which can safely be called in interrupt context. Apparently the platforms I used to develop the cw1200_spi driver used synchronous spi_sync() implementations, which is why this didn't surface until now.
