Both copy_to_ and _from_user return the number of bytes, that failed to
reach their destination, not the 0/-EXXX values.
Based on patch from Pavel Emelyanov <xemul@openvz.org>

I found some places, that erroneously return the value obtained from
the copy_to_user() call: if some amount of bytes were not able to get
to the user (this is what this one returns) the proper behavior is to
return the -EFAULT error, not that number itself.

Make use of hrtimers to support high resolution capabilities, when
provided by the system clocksource.
The conversion to hrtimers additionally discovered and solved an
unlikely race condition that has been reproduced under (unrealistic)
massive receive load, which can only be produced on vcan software devices.

Introduce per-net_device inlines: dev_net(), dev_net_set().
Without CONFIG_NET_NS, no namespace other than &init_net exists.
Let's explicitly define them to help compiler optimizations.

The implementation of proto_register() has changed so that it can now
sleep. The call to proto_register() must be moved out of the
spin-locked region.

This patch adds the virtual CAN bus (vcan) network driver.
The vcan device is just a loopback device for CAN frames, no
real CAN hardware is involved.

This patch adds the CAN core functionality but no protocols or drivers.
No protocol implementations are included here. They come as separate
patches. Protocol numbers are already in include/linux/can.h.
