2021-09-22net: fix NULL pointer reference in cipso_v4_doi_free王贇
[ Upstream commit 733c99ee8be9a1410287cdbb943887365e83b2d6 ] In netlbl_cipsov4_add_std() when 'doi_def->map.std' alloc failed, we sometime observe panic: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: ... RIP: 0010:cipso_v4_doi_free+0x3a/0x80 ... Call Trace: netlbl_cipsov4_add_std+0xf4/0x8c0 netlbl_cipsov4_add+0x13f/0x1b0 genl_family_rcv_msg_doit.isra.15+0x132/0x170 genl_rcv_msg+0x125/0x240 This is because in cipso_v4_doi_free() there is no check on 'doi_def->map.std' when 'doi_def->type' equal 1, which is possibe, since netlbl_cipsov4_add_std() haven't initialize it before alloc 'doi_def->map.std'. This patch just add the check to prevent panic happen for similar cases. Reported-by: Abaci <abaci@linux.alibaba.com> Signed-off-by: Michael Wang <yun.wang@linux.alibaba.com> Signed-off-by: David S. [ Upstream commit 8ca34a13f7f9b3fa2c464160ffe8cc1a72088204 ] Syzbot reported warning in netlbl_cipsov4_add(). The problem was in too big doi_def->map.std->lvl.local_size passed to kcalloc(). Since this value comes from userpace there is no need to warn if value is not correct. The same problem may occur with other kcalloc() calls in this function, so, I've added __GFP_NOWARN flag to all kcalloc() calls there. [ Upstream commit 866358ec331f8faa394995fb4b511af1db0247c8 ] The current NetLabel code doesn't correctly keep track of the netlink dump state in some cases, in particular when multiple interfaces with large configurations are loaded. The problem manifests itself by not reporting the full configuration to userspace, even though it is loaded and active in the kernel. 2020-05-20netlabel: cope with NULL catmapPaolo Abeni
[ Upstream commit eead1c2ea2509fd754c6da893a94f0e69e83ebe4 ] The cipso and calipso code can set the MLS_CAT attribute on successful parsing, even if the corresponding catmap has not been allocated, as per current configuration and external input. Later, selinux code tries to access the catmap if the MLS_CAT flag is present via netlbl_catmap_getlong(). That may cause null ptr dereference while processing incoming network traffic. Address the issue setting the MLS_CAT flag only if the catmap is really allocated. Additionally let netlbl_catmap_getlong() cope with NULL catmap. 2018-10-20netlabel: check for IPV4MASK in addrinfo_getSean Tranchetti
[ Upstream commit f88b4c01b97e09535505cf3c327fdbce55c27f00 ] netlbl_unlabel_addrinfo_get() assumes that if it finds the NLBL_UNLABEL_A_IPV4ADDR attribute, it must also have the NLBL_UNLABEL_A_IPV4MASK attribute as well. However, this is not necessarily the case as the current checks in netlbl_unlabel_staticadd() and friends are not sufficent to enforce this. If passed a netlink message with NLBL_UNLABEL_A_IPV4ADDR, NLBL_UNLABEL_A_IPV6ADDR, and NLBL_UNLABEL_A_IPV6MASK attributes, these functions will all call netlbl_unlabel_addrinfo_get() which will then attempt dereference NULL when fetching the non-existent NLBL_UNLABEL_A_IPV4MASK attribute: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 0 Process unlab (pid: 31762, stack limit = 0xffffff80502d8000) Call trace: netlbl_unlabel_addrinfo_get+0x44/0xd8 netlbl_unlabel_staticremovedef+0x98/0xe0 genl_rcv_msg+0x354/0x388 netlink_rcv_skb+0xac/0x118 genl_rcv+0x34/0x48 netlink_unicast+0x158/0x1f0 netlink_sendmsg+0x32c/0x338 sock_sendmsg+0x44/0x60 ___sys_sendmsg+0x1d0/0x2a8 __sys_sendmsg+0x64/0xb4 SyS_sendmsg+0x34/0x4c el0_svc_naked+0x34/0x38 Code: 51001149 7100113f 540000a0 f9401508 (79400108) ---[ end trace f6438a488e737143 ]--- Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception Signed-off-by: Sean Tranchetti <stranche@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: David S. 2015-02-11cipso: don't use IPCB() to locate the CIPSO IP optionPaul Moore
Using the IPCB() macro to get the IPv4 options is convenient, but unfortunately NetLabel often needs to examine the CIPSO option outside of the scope of the IP layer in the stack. While historically IPCB() worked above the IP layer, due to the inclusion of the inet_skb_param struct at the head of the {tcp,udp}_skb_cb structs, recent commit 971f10ec ("tcp: better TCP_SKB_CB layout to reduce cache line misses") reordered the tcp_skb_cb struct and invalidated this IPCB() trick. This patch fixes the problem by creating a new function, cipso_v4_optptr(), which locates the CIPSO option inside the IP header without calling IPCB(). Unfortunately, this isn't as fast as a simple lookup so some additional tweaks were made to limit the use of this new function. 2015-01-18netlink: make nlmsg_end() and genlmsg_end() voidJohannes Berg
Contrary to common expectations for an "int" return, these functions return only a positive value -- if used correctly they cannot even return 0 because the message header will necessarily be in the skb. This makes the very common pattern of if (genlmsg_end(...) < 0) { ... } be a whole bunch of dead code. Many places also simply do return nlmsg_end(...); and the caller is expected to deal with it. This also commonly (at least for me) causes errors, because it is very common to write if (my_function(...)) /* error condition */ and if my_function() does "return nlmsg_end()" this is of course wrong. Additionally, there's not a single place in the kernel that actually needs the message length returned, and if anyone needs it later then it'll be very easy to just use skb->len there. Remove this, and make the functions void. This removes a bunch of dead code as described above. The patch adds lines because I did - return nlmsg_end(...); + nlmsg_end(...); + return 0; I could have preserved all the function's return values by returning skb->len, but instead I've audited all the places calling the affected functions and found that none cared. A few places actually compared the return value with <= 0 in dump functionality, but that could just be changed to < 0 with no change in behaviour, so I opted for the more efficient version. One instance of the error I've made numerous times now is also present in net/phonet/pn_netlink.c in the route_dumpit() function - it didn't check for <0 or <=0 and thus broke out of the loop every single time. I've preserved this since it will (I think) have caused the messages to userspace to be formatted differently with just a single message for every SKB returned to userspace. It's possible that this isn't needed for the tools that actually use this, but I don't even know what they are so couldn't test that changing this behaviour would be acceptable. 2014-08-01netlabel: shorter names for the NetLabel catmap funcs/structsPaul Moore

2014-08-01netlabel: fix the horribly broken catmap functionsPaul Moore
The NetLabel secattr catmap functions, and the SELinux import/export glue routines, were broken in many horrible ways and the SELinux glue code fiddled with the NetLabel catmap structures in ways that we probably shouldn't allow. At some point this "worked", but that was likely due to a bit of dumb luck and sub-par testing (both inflicted by yours truly). This patch corrects these problems by basically gutting the code in favor of something less obtuse and restoring the NetLabel abstractions in the SELinux catmap glue code. Everything is working now, and if it decides to break itself in the future this code will be much easier to debug than the code it replaces. One noteworthy side effect of the changes is that it is no longer necessary to allocate a NetLabel catmap before calling one of the NetLabel APIs to set a bit in the catmap. NetLabel will automatically allocate the catmap nodes when needed, resulting in less allocations when the lowest bit is greater than 255 and less code in the LSMs. Cc: stable@vger.kernel.org Reported-by: Christian Evans <frodox@zoho.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Moore <pmoore@redhat.com> Tested-by: Casey Schaufler <casey@schaufler-ca.com>
2014-08-01netlabel: fix a problem when setting bits below the previously lowest bitPaul Moore
The NetLabel category (catmap) functions have a problem in that they assume categories will be set in an increasing manner, e.g. the next category set will always be larger than the last. Unfortunately, this is not a valid assumption and could result in problems when attempting to set categories less than the startbit in the lowest catmap node. In some cases kernel panics and other nasties can result. This patch corrects the problem by checking for this and allocating a new catmap node instance and placing it at the front of the list. As suggested by David Miller, make genl_register_family_with_ops() a macro and pass only the array, evaluating ARRAY_SIZE() in the macro, this is a little safer. 2013-08-02netlabel: use domain based selectors when address based selectors are not ↵Paul Moore
available NetLabel has the ability to selectively assign network security labels to outbound traffic based on either the LSM's "domain" (different for each LSM), the network destination, or a combination of both. Depending on the type of traffic, local or forwarded, and the type of traffic selector, domain or address based, different hooks are used to label the traffic; the goal being minimal overhead. Unfortunately, there is a bug such that a system using NetLabel domain based traffic selectors does not correctly label outbound local traffic that is not assigned to a socket. The issue is that in these cases the associated NetLabel hook only looks at the address based selectors and not the domain based selectors. This patch corrects this by checking both the domain and address based selectors so that the correct labeling is applied, regardless of the configuration type. In order to acomplish this fix, this patch also simplifies some of the NetLabel domainhash structures to use a more common outbound traffic mapping type: struct netlbl_dommap_def. This simplifies some of the code in this patch and paves the way for further simplifications in the future. Signed-off-by: Paul Moore <pmoore@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2013-05-19netlabel: improve domain mapping validationPaul Moore
The net/netlabel/netlabel_domainhash.c:netlbl_domhsh_add() function does not properly validate new domain hash entries resulting in potential problems when an administrator attempts to add an invalid entry. One such problem, as reported by Vlad Halilov, is a kernel BUG (found in netlabel_domainhash.c:netlbl_domhsh_audit_add()) when adding an IPv6 outbound mapping with a CIPSO configuration. This patch corrects this problem by adding the necessary validation code to netlbl_domhsh_add() via the newly created netlbl_domhsh_validate() function. Ideally this patch should also be pushed to the currently active -stable trees. 2013-03-07netlabel: correctly list all the static label mappingsPaul Moore
When we have a large number of static label mappings that spill across the netlink message boundary we fail to properly save our state in the netlink_callback struct which causes us to repeat the same listings. This patch fixes this problem by saving the state correctly between calls to the NetLabel static label netlink "dumpit" routines. Signed-off-by: Paul Moore <pmoore@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. This benefits processes that have very many mostly idle sockets, which is quite common. From Eric Dumazet. 10) Use up to 32K for page fragment allocations, with fallbacks to smaller sizes when higher order page allocations fail. Benefits are a) less segments for driver to process b) less calls to page allocator c) less waste of space. From Eric Dumazet. 11) Allow GRO to be used on GRE tunnels, from Eric Dumazet. 12) VXLAN device driver, one way to handle VLAN issues such as the limitation of 4096 VLAN IDs yet still have some level of isolation. From Stephen Hemminger. 13) As usual there is a large boatload of driver changes, with the scale perhaps tilted towards the wireless side this time around. It is a frequent mistake to confuse the netlink port identifier with a process identifier. Try to reduce this confusion by renaming fields that hold port identifiers portid instead of pid. 2012-03-22netlabel: use GFP flags from caller instead of GFP_ATOMICDan Carpenter
This function takes a GFP flags as a parameter, but they are never used. We don't take a lock in this function so there is no reason to prefer GFP_ATOMIC over the caller's GFP flags. There is only one caller, cipso_v4_map_cat_rng_ntoh(), and it passes GFP_ATOMIC as the GFP flags so this doesn't change how the code works. It's just a cleanup. 2011-11-29netlabel: Fix build problems when IPv6 is not enabledPaul Moore
A recent fix to the the NetLabel code caused build problem with configurations that did not have IPv6 enabled; see below: netlabel_kapi.c: In function 'netlbl_cfg_unlbl_map_add': netlabel_kapi.c:165:4: error: implicit declaration of function 'netlbl_af6list_add' This patch fixes this problem by making the IPv6 specific code conditional on the IPv6 configuration flags as we done in the rest of NetLabel and the network stack as a whole. We have to move some variable declarations around as a result so things may not be quite as pretty, but at least it builds cleanly now. Some additional IPv6 conditionals were added to the NetLabel code as well for the sake of consistency.
