On an error, snd_ctl_add already free's kctrl, so calling snd_ctl_free_one
to free it again leads to a double free error. Fix this by removing
the extraneous snd_ctl_free_one call.

commit 1e6f4fc06f6411adf98bbbe7fcd79442cd2b2a75 upstream.
The ADC in the ADAU1361 (and possibly other Analog Devices codecs)
exhibits a cyclic variation in the noise floor (in our test setup between
-87 and -93 dB), a new value being attained within this range whenever a
new capture stream is started. The cycle repeats after about 10 or 11
restarts.
The workaround recommended by the manufacturer is to toggle the ADOSR bit
in the Converter Control 0 register each time a new capture stream is
started.
I have verified that the patch fixes this problem on the ADAU1361, and
according to the manufacturer toggling the bit in question in this manner
will at least have no detrimental effect on other chips served by this
driver.

[ Upstream commit 37e1df8c95e2c8a57c77eafc097648f6e40a60ff ]
This starts to handle probe deferrals on regulators and clocks
on the ASoC DAPM.
I came to this patch after audio stopped working on Ux500 ages
ago and I finally looked into it to see what is wrong. I had
messages like this in the console since a while back:
ab8500-codec.0: ASoC: Failed to request audioclk: -517
ab8500-codec.0: ASoC: Failed to create DAPM control audioclk
ab8500-codec.0: Failed to create new controls -12
snd-soc-mop500.0: ASoC: failed to instantiate card -12
snd-soc-mop500.0: Error: snd_soc_register_card failed (-12)!
snd-soc-mop500: probe of snd-soc-mop500.0 failed with error -12
Apparently because the widget table for the codec looks like
this (sound/soc/codecs/ab8500-codec.c):
static const struct snd_soc_dapm_widget ab8500_dapm_widgets[] = {
/* Clocks */
SND_SOC_DAPM_CLOCK_SUPPLY("audioclk"),
/* Regulators */
SND_SOC_DAPM_REGULATOR_SUPPLY("V-AUD", 0, 0),
SND_SOC_DAPM_REGULATOR_SUPPLY("V-AMIC1", 0, 0),
SND_SOC_DAPM_REGULATOR_SUPPLY("V-AMIC2", 0, 0),
SND_SOC_DAPM_REGULATOR_SUPPLY("V-DMIC", 0, 0),
So when we call snd_soc_register_codec() and any of these widgets
get a deferred probe we do not get an -EPROBE_DEFER (-517) back as
we should and instead we just fail. Apparently the code assumes
that clocks and regulators must be available at this point and
not defer.
After this patch it rather looks like this:
ab8500-codec.0: Failed to create new controls -517
snd-soc-mop500.0: ASoC: failed to instantiate card -517
snd-soc-mop500.0: Error: snd_soc_register_card failed (-517)!
(...)
abx500-clk.0: registered clocks for ab850x
snd-soc-mop500.0: ab8500-codec-dai.0 <-> ux500-msp-i2s.1 mapping ok
snd-soc-mop500.0: ab8500-codec-dai.1 <-> ux500-msp-i2s.3 mapping ok
I'm pretty happy about the patch as it it, but I'm a bit
uncertain on how to proceed: there are a lot of users of the
external functions snd_soc_dapm_new_control() (111 sites)
and that will now return an occassional error pointer, which
is not handled in the calling sites.
I want an indication from the maintainers whether I should just
go in and augment all these call sites, or if deferred probe
is frowned upon when it leads to this much overhead.

commit 2daf71ad8da6cb57f919c9c876ee7e42530371df upstream.
Current Renesas sound driver doesn't have 1:1 relationship between
stream <-> mod because it is supporting MIX. Because of this reason
rsnd_mod_interrupt() is searching correspond mod by for loop.
But this loop is not needed, because each mod has own type.
This patch avoid pointless loop by using mod->type.
This patch is good for SSI-parent support, because stream might have
2 SSI as SSI-parent/child. SSI interrupt handler will be called twice
if stream has SSI-parent without this patch.

commit ee43a1a0cd2a8f33cddfa1323a60b5cfcf865ba0 upstream.
Commit e22579713ae1 ("ASoC: simple card: set cpu-dai sysclk

dailink at the same time. When one of frontend dailinks is
closed, the associated backend dailink should not be closed
if it is connected to other active frontend dailinks. Change

commit 4efda5f2130da033aeedc5b3205569893b910de2 upstream.
soc_cleanup_card_resources() call snd_card_free() at the last of its
procedure. This turned out to lead to a use-after-free.
PCM runtimes have been already removed via soc_remove_pcm_runtimes(),
while it's dereferenced later in soc_pcm_free() called via
snd_card_free().
The fix is simple: just move the snd_card_free() call to the beginning
of the whole procedure. This also gives another benefit: it
guarantees that all operations have been shut down before actually
releasing the resources, which was racy until now.

commit 6e4cac23c5a648d50b107d1b53e9c4e1120c7943 upstream.
The FE setups of Intel SST bytcr_rt5640 and bytcr_rt5651 drivers carry
the ignore_suspend flag, and this prevents the suspend/resume working
properly while the stream is running, since SST core code has the
check of the running streams and returns -EBUSY. Drop these
superfluous flags for fixing the behavior.
Also, the bytcr_rt5640 driver lacks of nonatomic flag in some FE
definitions, which leads to the kernel Oops at suspend/resume like:

commit 85915b63ad8b796848f431b66c9ba5e356e722e5 upstream.
When sun4i_codec_create_card fails, we do not assign a proper error
code to the return value. The return value would be 0 from the previous
function call, or we would have bailed out sooner. This would confuse
the driver core into thinking the device probe succeeded, when in fact
it didn't, leaving various devres based resources lingering.
Make the create_card function pass back a meaningful error code, and
assign it to the return value.

commit 61ab0d403bbd9d5f6e000e3b5734049141b91f6f upstream.
In sst_prepare_and_post_msg(), when a response is received in "block",
the following code gets executed:
*data = kzalloc(block->size, GFP_KERNEL);
memcpy(data, (void *) block->data, block->size);
The memcpy() call overwrites the content of the *data pointer instead of
filling the newly-allocated memory (which pointer is hold by *data).
Fix this by merging kzalloc+memcpy into a single kmemdup() call.
Thanks Joe Perches for suggesting using kmemdup()

commit d3030d11961a8c103cf07aed59905276ddfc06c2 upstream.
The ak4642 driver is using a regmap cache sync to restore the
configuration of the chip on resume but (as Peter observed) does not
actually define a register cache which means that the resume is never
going to work and we trigger asserts in regmap. Fix this by enabling
caching.

commit 47325078f2a3e543150e7df967e45756b2fff7ec upstream.
The dummy component is reused for all cards so we special case and don't
bind it to any of them. This means that code like that displaying the
component widgets that tries to look at the card will crash. In the
future we will fix this by ensuring that the dummy component looks like
other components but that is invasive and so not suitable for a fix.
Instead add a special case check here.

commit 712a8038cc24dba668afe82f0413714ca87184e0 upstream.
When the ssm4567 is powered up the driver calles regcache_sync() to restore
the register map content. regcache_sync() assumes that the device is in its
power-on reset state. Make sure that this is the case by explicitly
resetting the ssm4567 register map before calling regcache_sync() otherwise
we might end up with a incorrect register map which leads to undefined
behaviour.
One such undefined behaviour was observed when returning from system
suspend while a playback stream is active, in that case the ssm4567 was
kept muted after resume.

commit ba4bc32eaa39ba7687f0958ae90eec94da613b46 upstream.
An older patch to convert the API in the s3c i2s driver
ended up passing a const pointer into a function that takes
a non-const pointer, so we now get a warning:
sound/soc/samsung/s3c2412-i2s.c: In function 's3c2412_iis_dev_probe':
sound/soc/samsung/s3c2412-i2s.c:172:9: error: passing argument 3 of 's3c_i2sv2_register_component' discards 'const' qualifier from pointer target type [-Werror=discarded-qualifiers]
However, the s3c_i2sv2_register_component() function again
passes the pointer into another function taking a const, so
we just need to change its prototype.

commit b9a1a743818ea3265abf98f9431623afa8c50c86 upstream.
ARM64 allmodconfig produces a bunch of warnings when building the
samsung ASoC code:
sound/soc/samsung/dmaengine.c: In function 'samsung_asoc_init_dma_data':
sound/soc/samsung/dmaengine.c:53:32: warning: cast to pointer from integer of different size [-Wint-to-pointer-cast]
playback_data->filter_data = (void *)playback->channel;
sound/soc/samsung/dmaengine.c:60:31: warning: cast to pointer from integer of different size [-Wint-to-pointer-cast]
capture_data->filter_data = (void *)capture->channel;
We could easily shut up the warning by adding an intermediate cast,
but there is a bigger underlying problem: The use of IORESOURCE_DMA
to pass data from platform code to device drivers is dubious to start
with, as what we really want is a pointer that can be passed into
a filter function.
Note that on s3c64xx, the pl08x DMA data is already a pointer, but
gets cast to resource_size_t so we can pass it as a resource, and it
then gets converted back to a pointer. In contrast, the data we pass
for s3c24xx is an index into a device specific table, and we artificially
convert that into a pointer for the filter function.

commit 316fa9e09ad76e095b9d7e9350c628b918370a22 upstream.
Lockdep warns of a potential lock inversion, i2s->lock is held numerous
times whilst we are under the substream lock (snd_pcm_stream_lock). If
we use the IRQ unsafe spin lock calls, you can also end up locking
snd_pcm_stream_lock whilst under i2s->lock (if an IRQ happens whilst we
are holding i2s->lock). This could result in deadlock.

commit 24338722cfa23fdf4e08c6189a11f7e3a902d86a upstream.
We don't want to use a bypassed write in wm5110_clear_pga_volume,
we might disable the DRE whilst the CODEC is powered down. A
normal regmap_write will always go to the hardware (when not on
cache_only) even if the written value matches the cache. As using
a normal write will still achieve the desired behaviour of bring
the cache and hardware in sync, this patch updates the function
to use a normal write, which avoids issues when the CODEC is
powered down.
